Lowenbrau
The Rocks, Sydney
Enjoying a drink or two (a litre or two) of good German beer and Bavarian cuisine. Definitely a night to remember.

Weekends mean staying up late is allowed. And Bea always makes the most of it.

The K-S class awaits "the jump." All primary students in the country are currently on an intensive 2-week swimming course as part of their summer curriculum.

The Big Day: Bea distributes our homemade double chocolate and blueberry choco chip cupcakes to her classmates on her sixth birthday. Boys got different lootbag contents from girls... Hip.. hip... Hooray!

Bea's (school) birthday cake. She placed the candy sprinkles herself on 24 cupcakes, most of which we took back home. They were only 17 in the class and some were sick with the flu.

Yumm... Bea winks at dad while gobbling her cupcake, while her Indo-Chinese classmate checks out her "loot." All the hard work it took to prepare for this 15-minute birthday celebration is worth it looking at the faces of her classmates as they ate their cake and scoured the bags.

Bea's class may as well be a United Nations convention. 3 of them are Filipino, 2 I think are Aboriginal Australian, 1 is French, 2 are Spanish, 1 is Chinese-Australian, 1 is Indo-Chinese and still some are British-Australian. Pretty cool as they all teach each other phrases in their mother tongue. Bea knows how to say hello in all of those languages.

Bea knows the best surprise for mum at the end of a day's work is an empty lunchbox.
